What it takes to spray citrus in Arizona
Asian citrus psyllid and greening management plus nutritional sprays over dense evergreen canopies — high carrier volumes and repeat trips drive the top of the range.
- Carrier volume: 5–10 GPA — higher volumes cost more per acre (more refills, fewer acres/hour).
- Typical passes: Multiple (psyllid/greening + nutrition).
- Grown in Arizona: 6,266 bearing acres (USDA Census of Agriculture 2022) — so there’s real, sprayable citrus acreage for operators here.
